Why did we design SnapShot? SnapShot is a professionally designed, legally defensible and low cost pre-employment screening tool dedicated to efficiently identifying potential success stories. We designed SnapShot to help employers create a "snapshot" of their applicants, based on personality traits that have been selected to reflect an organizations unique culture and current workforce. Recent research suggests that strong person-job fit and person-organization fit promote not only improved individual contributions but also increased organizational performance. How does SnapShot work? Since every organization is unique, it is imperative to create a valid model upon which to base a SnapShot assessment. Initially, our psychologists will work with your organization to analyze 13 personal attributes that contribute to a successful job performance, including:
To create a hiring profile of current star performers, the culture-specific SnapShot test is then administered to a representative sample of the workforce in a target job, at no additional cost to the organization. By creating norms around the highest performers in the target job, standards are set against which all new hires can be measured. These norms create the "high potential hiring profile." By validating potential employees' assessments against the sample norms of the current workforce, the entire process is legitimized and therefore protects employers from exposure to any legal ramifications for improper hiring procedures. Once an applicant has been offered an interview with the organization, he or she is directed to the SnapShot page on the Matrix website (if there is no internet availability, paper and pencil tests are available). The applicant completes the short but comprehensive questionnaire, and a report is generated by one of our psychologists, and delivered to the interviewer(s) within 24 hours. The finished SnapShot Applicant Report provides the hiring manager with information critical to making a sound hiring decision:
